
This program is designed to train those individuals already involved in deep diving activities.
Trimix provides a safer means for deep-water exploration for divers who must dive deep or perform with a clear head at depth. The IANTD Trimix Diver program establishes the need to be self-sufficient and self-reliant at any depth.
In addition to an academic and confined water component, this course includes 2 Air/EANx dives and 3 Trimix dives between 48 and 79 msm.
Course duration: 5 days
Prerequisites:
IANTD Advanced EANx diver or equivalent with 100 logged dives of which at least 30 deeper than 27 msw;
or if entering based on equivalent experience must be EANx diver with 150 logged dives of which at least 50 deeper than 30 msw.
Equipment requirements:
For technical diving we strongly recommend you own the equipment. However certain items are available for rent.
Note: All technical courses require use of either a back plate and harness or technical backpack fitted with back mounted BC
- 2 Regulator first stages to fit dual outlet manifold (one must
have a second stage hose of at least 7 feet or 2 meters)
- Two oxygen service rated first stage regulator with SPG
- SPG and means of monitoring depth, bottom time and stops
- Submersible dive tables for mixes that are being dived
- Dive light
- Safety reel and lift bag
- Proper exposure suit
- Slate and pencil
- Surface audio signal device
- Dive knife
