
This program is designed to train those who wish to dive to depths between 40 msw and 60 msw, but who do not wish to breathe air below 40 msw. Trimix provides a means of reducing narcosis on dives to such depth. This course includes all academic portions of the Technical Diver course, confined water, 2 Air/EANx dives and 3 Trimix dives.
Course duration: 5 days
Prerequisites:
IANTD Technical Diver or Technical Cave/Wreck Diver certification or Normoxic Trimix Diver certification or equivalent with 200 loged dives of which at least 25 deeper than 40 msm.
Equipment requirements:
For technical diving we strongly recommend you own the equipment. However certain items are available for rent.
Note: All technical courses require use of either a back plate and harness or technical backpack fitted with back mounted BC
- 2 Regulator first stages to fit dual outlet manifold (one must
have a second stage hose of at least 7 feet or 2 meters)
- Two oxygen service rated first stage regulator with SPG
- SPG and means of monitoring depth, bottom time and stops
- Submersible dive tables for mixes that are being dived
- Dive light
- Safety reel and lift bag
- Proper exposure suit
- Slate and pencil
- Surface audio signal device
- Dive knife
