The program consists of the following:

- five confined water dives
- four open water dives
- self study
- video session
- academic discussions

The PADI Open Water Diver certification qualifies you to:

- dive to the limits of your training and experience
- optain air fills, scuba rental and other services
- participate on liveaboards and other tours
- participate in the Advanced Open Water or Specialty courses
- plan, conduct and log dives with buddy to the scope of your training
