ACCOMMODATION IN SALANG BAY |
B&J does not have any resort in Salang Bay, so we work closely with most of the resorts to enable us to offer you free room booking service.
Resorts in Salang Bay are all fairly close to our PADI 5 Star Dive Centre (usually within less than 5 minutes walking distance) and most of them have direct access to the beach.
Unfortuntely the resorts in Salang are not very well maintained, but therefore you get value for money. In our opinion Salang Pusaka Resort and Salang Sayang Resort maintain their room better than others, whereas Salang Indah Resort surely has one of the best locations in the bay.
A variety of room choices awaits you at Salang which ranges from very basic fan bungalows to deluxe aircon rooms.
Please note, that proper room service is not common on Tioman Island.
Rooms are cleaned whenever you leave your key at the reception.
Accommodation does not include meals, which is in our opinion better since it allows you to test out all the different restaurants with their fantastic local and western cuisine. Don't miss out on the BBQ chicken at Salang Dreams Restaurant or some good and affordable BBQ seafood at other places.

Salang Pusaka Resort:
This medium size resort is set back in a nice garden like environment, a mere minutes walk to the beach or to our dive shop.
It offers air-conditioned bungalows from basic to superior standards and is nice and pretty clean. It's one of the more popular resorts in Salang Bay thanks to the ever friendly staff who will make your stay a pleasant one.
The attached restaurant offers a large variety of local and western cusine with finger licking BBQ seafood and vegetables and the restaurant crew are simply fantastic.

Salang Indah Resort:
Salang Indah is perfectly located directly at the beach and all seafront aircon rooms offer a stunning view to the nearby islands and a comfortable sea breeze.
It's a mere minutes stroll from Salang Indah to our dive centre and the beach.
This medium size resort has the largest choice of rooms in Salang Bay. They range from basic fan rooms on the sloping hillside to a different range of aircon rooms including several seaview AC rooms.
Most of the bungalows are built on stilts and if you're staying in one of the seafront bungalows then the ocean rhythm will rock you gently to sleep at night.
Don't be surprised if the rooms are not too well maintained and leave your key at the reception if you want your room cleaned. In the end of the day you will spend most of your time diving and not in the room anyways...

Salang Sayang Resort:
This small family run resort is right on the beach, it have the nicest beach at its door steps.
It offers air-con and fan cooled bungalows at slightly higher prices then everybody else. The rooms are definitely worth the extra ringgit, because of the well maintained landscaping and interior. Nice are the bungalows in banana hill overlooking Salang Bay.

Pondok Sri Salang:
Pondok Sri Salang is a small resort with fan and air-con bungalows which is set back in a lush and very quite garden area.
The rooms are spacious and clean and are preferred by many travellers. It's just a minutes stroll away from the beach or a few minutes to our dive centre.

Puteri Salang Inn :
Pueteri Salang Inn is a very small family run operation with A-Frame aircon and fan huts close to the rainforest. It's about a two minutes walk from the beach and pretty cosy and fairly priced.
Note however that they prefer walk-in customes and direct bookings.

Salang Beach Resort :
Salang Beach is a medium size resort offers air-con and fan bungalows close by the beach at the northern end of Salang Bay. They only accept pre-bookings via agents or from the mainland, since their their management is in Mersing.
The front row of bungalows has a very nice view of Salang Bay and Coral Island, unfortunately the back rows is very crowded.
