By Bus:
From KL
to Mersing:		 Transnasional (+60 3 20703300) has several bus daily incl. an overnight bus from KL Puduraya Bus Terminal to Mersing. The pretty uncomfortable 6 hours journey takes you first along the north-south highway and then through palm oil plantations to the fishing town Mersing. Costs are around RM20 per way.
   
From Singapore
to Mersing:

The bus departs daily from the Lavender Bus Terminal at 12.00am and 1.30pm; duration 3 hours, cost approx. S$12/way.
Taxis are available from Singapore to Johor Bahru (JB) from which you take an overland taxi (blue in color) to Mersing. This ride from Singapore to Mersing takes you through rubber and palm oil plantations for 2 hours, it's certainly worth the experience! Cost approx. RM120/way.
From Johor Bahru
to Mersing:

This bus leaves daily at 07.30am and 09.30am from the bus terminal. Duration approx. 2 1/2 hours, cost approx. RM13/way.
