Ferry Itineraries

Bluewater only releases ferry itineraries a few weeks prior. If no ferry times are listed on their website then it's simply too early to book.

Here we post the itineraries once available:

Your destination is Air Batang (aka ABC), which is often the 4th ferry stop. The journey takes some 2 to 2 ½ hours. Bring some warm clothing in your hand luggage as it might get cold inside the ferry.

Once you arrive in ABC, walk down the jetty and turn left. You’ll come to our reception/dive centre after a leisurely 3-5min walk.

If you let us know your ferry departure times then we can have someone wait at ABC jetty and assist with your luggage.

Arrival Info
Ferry from Mersing or Tanjung Gemok?

There are 2 ferry ports - Mersing or Tanjung Gemok.

Mersing is closer to Singapore/Johor Bahru, but they depend on high tide to sail. Ferry departure times therefore change daily and are not always in your favour.

Tanjung Gemok (aka Teluk Gading) lies some 35km north of Mersing and has more regular ferry times. There are often 2 morning ferries (i.e. 7am and 11am) and 2 return ferries to Tioman (i.e. 9am and 3pm).

The ferry operator who goes to all destinations on Tioman is the same - Bluewater Ferries - you can book tickets from them via www.bluewater.my or via www.tiomanferryticket.com

Cataferry is another operator but they do not sail to our destination on Tioman (their last stop is Tekek, from where you'd need another transport to get to us). Please do not book Cataferry.

Ferry itineraries usually come out 1-2 months before departure time. Ferry tickets must be booked well in advance (several weeks if you plan on coming over public holidays).
